FAQs

FAQs

Here is a list of our many common questions!

  • How long can you locate a deer carcass after it has been shot?

Temperature and weather play a significant role in the carcass recovery process.  Generally speaking however, it is recommended the recovery process begin within 48 hours of the shot.

*Please reach out as soon as possible!*

  • How can you be sure it's my deer carcass?

Our drones are equipped with a  200x zoom camera that allows us to locate and examine your deer carcass from up to 400 feet in the sky.

  • Can you see through thick foliage and dense tree canopy?

Heavy green leaf cover most certainly poses its challenges when it comes to seeing the forest floor.  While it is still possible to locate thermal signatures in these conditions, it is significantly more difficult, and may take more time.

  • Can the drone be flown at night?

Because our drones are FAA compliant, and are equipped with thermal imaging cameras, they can safely and legally be operated at night and used for search.

  • Can the drone search Ag fields?

While wooded foliage poses its challenges, row crops are fairly easy to examine when it comes to a search or recovery!

  • What weather conditions can the drone handle?

Our drones can be flown in a variety of weather conditions including rain, snow, wind (gusts up to 50mph).  However all missions are at the pilots discretion especially in the case of harsh weather.

  • Are you licensed?

Both Alex and Isaac hold FAA Remote Pilot Certificates (Part 107).  This allows them to commercially operate small Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
